The National Treasury’s Cooperative Banks Development Agency (CBDA) and the North West Department of Economic Development (DED) will host the 2013 3rd Cooperative Financial Institutions’ Indaba and the 14th SACCA Congress. With the theme of “Technology; Accelerating Financial Inclusion using the Cooperative Model”, the 14th SACCA (Saving and Credit Cooperative Association Africa) congress will provide a unique platform to recognise and appreciate the positive impact cooperatives have on the economics and social development of Africa.
The congress will bring together financial co-operative stakeholders across the continent, providing an opportunity to directly engage with over 500 decision and policy makers from over 25 African countries. Notably, the Deputy Minister of Finance Nhlanhla Nene, Premier of North West Thandi Modise and the Ministers in charge of Cooperatives for Kenya and Rwanda will take part in this event.
