Minister Nkadimeng to participate in the NHTKL Outreach Programme on Women and Youth Empowerment at Magadimana-Ntweng Traditional Community
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Ms Thembi Nkadimeng will participate in the women and youth empowerment outreach program in the Sekhukhune District Municipality. This initiative will involve collaboration with the National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders (NHTKL), the Limpopo House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders (LHTKL), the Magadimana-Ntweng Traditional Council, and various other stakeholders.
The outreach is part of the month-long women’s month celebrations, which aims to encourage the review and ensure that more interventions are undertaken in recognition of woman’s rights.
The empowerment programme will also give impetus to the ongoing implementation interventions across all sectors of society in respect of national priorities outlined by government on the promotion of socio-economic development in traditional communities whilst also empowering men, women, and youth on matters of GBVF, Teenage pregnancy, Substance abuse, and Albinism.
The outreach program is scheduled for 29 - 31 August 2023, at Magadimana-Ntweng Traditional Council, Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District Municipality.
Minister Nkadimeng will join the outreach as follows:
