Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Thandi Modise, will tomorrow, Tuesday, 20 September 2022, brief the media on the Africa Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (AAD) which is being hosted from 21 – 25 September 2022 at the the Waterkloof Air Force Base.
The Africa Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (AAD) is an initiative of the Department of Defence and the defence industry which has been running for twenty years. It is the largest defence and aerospace exhibition in Africa and takes place every two years.
Hosted under this year’s theme: “Exploring New Paths, Sharing Solutions and Showcasing Innovation and Capabilities”, AAD seeks to showcase the capabilities of the armed forces from both South Africa and abroad.
Organisers expect over 200 exhibitors as well as delegates from 24 countries. Some of the key participants expected are Ministers of Defence, Deputy Ministers, Secretaries of Defence, Chiefs of Defence, Chiefs of the Army, Chiefs of the Air Force and Chiefs of Medical Services from different countries.
