Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams hands over ICT equipment to learners and provide interconnectivity to a clinic in Mbizana, 25 Aug

Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will, on Tuesday 25 August, visit Mbizana in the Eastern Cape to hand over ICT equipment to learners of Olisiwinga College and connect the local clinic, Amadiba onto the broadband grid.

The Minister will be accompanied by provincial representatives. Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams is deployed in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality to coordinate government’s COVID-19 intervention in the area. This is in line with President Cyril Ramaphosa announcement he made in May this year, that Ministers and Deputy Ministers including Directors-General, will be deployed to all districts and metros to improve government’s interventions in these areas.

Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will make her first stop at the local clinic.  The purpose of this visit will be to assess how frontline essential services are coping with the management of COVID-19 cases. The Minister together with provincial representatives, will then pay a visit to the Olisiwinga College, where they will hand over ICT equipment to learners.
