Minister Cwele to brief the Portfolio Committee on Telecommunications and Postal Services on the legislation that is emanating from the National Integrated ICT Policy White Paper
The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Dr Siyabonga Cwele will tomorrow, 10 October 2017, brief the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Telecommunications and Postal Services on the proposed legislation emanating from the National Integrated ICT White Paper.
The briefing will cover the laws that need to be amended and those that need to be enacted to give effect to the policy during this financial year and the next.
These include the following;
- The Electronic Communications Amendment Bill
- The South African Post Office Amendment Bill
- The Postal Services Amendment Bill
- The Electronic Communications and Transactions Amendment Bill
- The Digital Development Fund Bill
- The ICT Sector Commission and Tribunal Bill
- The IKamva Nation e-Skills Institute Bill
- The State Information Technology Agency Amendment Bill; and
- The State ICT Infrastructure Bill
