Minister Plato to conclude the 2013 policing needs and priorities meetings

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 27 November, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will conclude the annual series of Policing Needs and Priorities meetings with the 25th and final meeting being held in Kraaifontein.

The identification of Policing Needs and Priorities (PNPs) is a constitutional responsibility of the Provincial Government and is aimed at ensuring that the South African Police Service (SAPS) remain responsive to the different policing needs and priorities of communities around the Western Cape.

This PnP meeting falls during the 16 Days of Activism period, and will have a strong focus on the campaign for no violence against women and children.

The CPF Cluster chairperson and  SAPS Cluster Commander will also be speaking to members of the public, safety and security businesses, as well as local NGOs in attendance at the meeting.
