Minister Patricia de Lille and Deputy Minister John Jeffery meet to discuss state of courts, 30 Jul

Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure and Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services joint meeting

Public Works and Infrastructure Minister, Ms Patricia de Lille, has invited Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Mr John Jeffery, to join her in addressing the state of our courts and come with plans to fix the problem.

The meeting results from a lack of maintenance and repairs to court buildings across the country. The ministers will also meet with 200 regional court heads, 15 district heads and 11 regional managers from the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.

Furthermore, Minister de Lille has invited Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng, to explain to officials what impact sub-standard court buildings have on the administration of justice.
