Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko consults Amakhosi ahead of Eastern Cape Provincial investors conference, 4 Oct

Public Works Minister, Nkosinathi Nhleko will on Wednesday consult traditional leaders in the Eastern Cape to facilitate implementation of the refurbishment programme through harbour and coastal properties in support of the ocean economy.

The consultation ahead of the provincial investor’s conference aimed at attracting investments into the newly identified small harbours and ports is meant to address concerns of Amakhosi about the intervention that seeks to create stable jobs and influence the creation of work opportunities linked to identified projects.

“These conferences should bring about meaningful empowerment of historically marginalised local small to medium businesses and co-operatives through share ownership in national companies that have submitted business and project proposals,” says Minister Nhleko.

Members of the media are invited for a photo opportunity and post briefing meeting to be held as follows:
Date: Wednesday 4 October 2017
Time: 12h30 to 13h00
Venue: Thafa Lofefe Hospital Boardroom, Centane
