Minister Motshekga to release ANA (Annual National Assessments) results

The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga will, on Thursday, 5 December 2013, release the 2013 Annual National Assessment (ANA) results.

ANA was put in place by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) as a tool to annually measure progress in learner achievement in numeracy and literacy. ANA is one of the initiatives that form the backbone of the DBE’s Action Plan to 2014: Towards the Realisation of Schooling 2025.

ANA targets Literacy and Numeracy because these have been found universally to be the key foundational skills for successful learning in school and beyond.
Members of the media are invited to attend the release of the ANA results as follows:

Directions:

Take WF Nkomo Street (old Church Street) and proceed west into Atteridgeville. Continue on WF Nkomo until you turn left into Masopha Street, proceed (and follow the curves) and only turn left into Ramokgopa Street, and then turn right into Mngomezulu Street (there’s a church on the right at the corner), second street turn left into Molambo Street, the school is on your right, drive into the yard via Mphe Street.
