Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi partipates at Berlin Global Dialogue in Germany, 27 to 29 Sept

The Minister of Human Settlements and Co-chairperson of the Economic Cluster in Cabinet, Mmamoloko Kubayi, will join other global leaders as a speaker in Germany for the Berlin Global Dialogue (BGD) - a unique new forum bringing together government and business leaders from around the world to discuss the shape of the future global economy.

The inaugural high-level dialogue is taking place from 27 to 29 of September 2023, hosted by the European School of Management and Technology under the theme: “Uniting global leaders to shape a world in transition”. Key global issues for discussion relate to the just transition, fair use and access to innovative technology, artificial intelligence as well as sustainable development.

The Berlin Global Dialogue aims to provide a platform for leaders from business and policy, Heads of State and young voices to shape these transitions by providing international perspectives, facilitating interdisciplinary conversations, and driving tangible progress.

As the African continent forges ahead with driving its developmental agenda to unlock its great economic potential, it requires partnerships and trade relations with other regions of the world. The Minister will participate in various sessions focusing on unlocking growth opportunities and trade partnerships for the continent that is home to the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population, burgeoning cities, and bold innovations. Debates will also focus on private sector geo-political risks affecting access to markets, global supply chains, global trade and the state of globalisation.
