Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi assesses human settlements delivery in North West, 6 to 7 Dec

The Minister of Human Settlements, Mmamoloko Kubayi, will on 06 and 07 December 2021 visit North West province where she will amongst others, receive a briefing from the Provincial Department of Human Settlements on the progress made to achieve its housing delivery target for 2021/2022 financial year.

The Minister will also receive a report on areas that require her interventions, such as blocked and delayed housing projects, which have led to the slow delivery of houses in the province.

The Minister has in the past weeks visited seven provinces around the country. During those visits, various stakeholders including potential beneficiaries have raised among others issues, urgency to accelerate housing delivery, ensuring that contractors deliver quality work, on time and within the set budget.

During the visit, Minister Kubayi is expected to visit elderlies who benefited from projects delivered by the department and further handover title deeds .In Klerksdorp, Alabama ext 4, the minister and her entourage will handover title deeds and also go on site to inspection the N12 Housing  Mega project in Matlosana Municipality. The minister will on the second day pay a visit to six elderly family in Rustenburg villages of Kanana, Lesung and Mosenthal.

Minister Kubayi will be accompanied by, amongst others, MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs Lena Miga and Executive Mayors of the affected municipalities.
