Minister Kubayi embarks on pre-presidential engagements in Free State to assess service delivery related projects

As part of the District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo to the Free State Province, the Minister of Human Settlements Mmamoloko Kubayi and Deputy Minister Pam Tshwete, will on Tuesday convene two engagements with the Free State Department of Human Settlements, Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality and stakeholder representatives.

The engagements will amongst others, assess performance, the allocation and utilisation of the Urban Settlements Development Grant (USDG) and Human Settlements Development Grant (HSDG), in a quest by government to restore the dignity of the people through the rapid provision of sustainable human settlements.

Minister Kubayi and Deputy Minister Tshwete will be joined by Mr Mxolisi Dukwana, the MEC of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements.
 
The programme is expected to unfold as follows:
 
1. Briefing on DDM and performance on the HSDG and USDG grants
2. Community engagement
