The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha, will on Tuesday, 29 May 2018, host a Round Table Discussion on the Parole Position Paper at Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town.
The Task Team appointed by Minister Masutha in 2015 has concluded its work and this new position paper will now be subjected to an external review of experts.
Initiated to usher a new parole framework for South Africa, the Round Table Discussion will be attended by experts from academia, researchers, and persons with expertise in the field of corrections.
Welcoming remarks by Minister Masutha and entertainment is scheduled for Monday, 28 May 2018.
