Department of Correctional Services Minister, Advocate Michael Masutha, will embark on an operational visit to the Western Cape region, starting at Pollsmoor management area at 9h00am tomorrow, 18 August 2015.
Minister Masutha is expected to meet the Regional Executive Management team, where they will discuss issues ranging from overcrowding, gansterism, tuberculosis to smuggling of contraband into correctional centres. He will also conduct a tour of the centre, which includes the admissions centre and the Mother-To-Baby Unit.
All members of the media are invited to join the Minister for a walkabout tour of the centre at 12pm.
