The Ministry of Public Enterprises led by Minister Malusi Gigaba and Deputy Minister Bulelani Magwanishe will present the department’s budget vote on Tuesday, 14 May 2013.
The budget vote speech allows the Ministry to outline and set the tone for the vision of the department for the current financial year. The speech will provide key achievements, milestones, key deliverables and future plans of the department and its State Owned Companies (SOC).
The theme for this year’s Budget Vote speech is 'Getting South Africa working, growing and moving'. The Minister will then follow the same theme by outlining how the department through its SOC will drive investment, productivity and transformation in order to unlock growth, drive industrialisation, create jobs and develop skills in the country.
Prior to the delivery of the speech, photographers are advised that Minister Gigaba, Deputy Minister Magwanishe and SOC Board chairpersons and CEOs will be available for photo opportunity at the DPE Exhibition stand (New Wing Courtyard).
