Minister Malusi Gigaba debates State Owned Companies' achievements during 20 Years of Democracy, 20 Mar

The Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Malusi Gigaba, will continue his dialogue with different sectors of the society in celebration of 20 years of democracy in Cape Town tomorrow (Thursday). Events are scheduled for Cape Town central, Khayelitsha and Wellington.

Minister Gigaba will be joined by Brian Dames, Chief Executive of Eskom, and Brian Molefe, Chief Executive of Transnet, where they will engage with different sectors of society about opportunities at State Owned Companies (SCO) reporting to the Department of Public Enterprises.

The series of dialogues will be held throughout the country entail critical dialogues with communities and key stakeholders about the job opportunities, learnerships and skills development programmes that were created by SOC.  

This is to ensure that the majority of South Africans understand how state assets such as Eskom and Transnet have contributed towards the country’s socio-economic development.
