International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will host Mr Yang Jiechi, State Councillor of the People’s Republic of China, on Friday, 09 October 2015 for bilateral consultations. State Councillor Yang will be on an Official Visit to South Africa from 09–11 October 2015. The main purpose of the visit is to discuss preparations for the forthcoming Second Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) to be held Johannesburg from 04-05 December 2015.
The theme for the Summit is “Africa-China Progressing Together: Win-Win Cooperation for Common Development.”
