Inter-Ministerial Committee on GBVF to brief media on progress made by Government on the implementation of the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide

The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (IMC-GBVF) led by its Chairperson, Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, will on Monday 31 October 2022 hold a media briefing to outline the progress made by Government in implementing the National Strategic Plan (NSP) on GBVF.

This briefing comes on the eve of the Second Presidential GBVF Summit which will take place from 01-02 November 2022, at Gallagher Estate, Midrand. 

The Second Presidential Summit will serve as a platform to collectively take stock of progress to date and affirm our political commitment to decisively end the pandemic of GBVF in our country.

In this regard, the IMC members will provide detailed information on collaborative and inclusive steps taken to implement the NSP and further address the remaining challenges under various pillars of the NSP.
