The Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu, will host a Youth Enterprise Day in Nokaneng, Mpumalanga on Friday, 5 June 2015 as part of her Youth Month programme. The event will be held under the theme: “Youth Moving South Africa Forward”.
The department recognises that youth in rural areas have limited access to information, thus undermining their ability to be economically active citizens. Youth Enterprise Day will focus on raising awareness of the programmes offered by the department and its agencies that can benefit young entrepreneurs and to encourage the youth to start businesses and co-operatives to create employment for themselves and their communities. The event will be held as follows:
