Minister Sisulu to host Women in Construction Summit
The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu will host a Women in Constructions Summit on Thursday 05 November 2020. The Summit, which will be partly virtual and physical, is aimed at unlocking the value chain to allow broader participation of women in both Human Settlements and Water & Sanitation projects and programmes.
Minister Sisulu says the month of November 2020 should be marked as the beginning of a new era for women in construction. An era where emerging women contractors are supported to rise and succeed. Minister has noted that although significant progress that has been made, there are still more women who have been left behind.
The Summit will be addressed by women from different business formations including BASA, CIDB and the banking sector.
