Minister Bathabile Dlamini visits victims of Shoshanguve cash-in transit heist, 8 Jul

The Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, will on Wednesday July 8 visit two victims of a cash-in-transit heist which occurred last week at the Soshanguve plaza. Eleven people, nine of whom were older persons were during a shootout between the gang of robbers and security personnel.  

Minister Dlamini will visit an 85 year old who was shot on the leg and has since been discharged. A 28 year old man living with disability was also shot in the back and still receiving medical attention at George Mukhari Hospital – Ga-Rankuwa Township.   

Minister Dlamini will use this opportunity to pronounce a safety plan for Gauteng Province pay points which should be in collaboration with the South African Police Service (SAPS).
