Minister Aaron Motsoaledi visits Maseru Bridge Port of Entry to monitor the implementation of the 2022/23 Border Law Enforcement Festive Plan, 7 Jan

Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi is scheduled to visit the Maseru Bridge Port of Entry tomorrow to monitor the implementation of the 2022/23 Border Law Enforcement Festive Plan as travellers return to the country.
 
The Maseru Bridge is between South Africa and Lesotho. Traveller movements into South Africa have increased over the past two days as South Africans return home and migrants return to their stations. 
 
Minister Motsoaledi will be joined by the Deputy Commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA), General David Chilembe.
 
The Minister will also pay a courtesy call to his Lesotho counterpart, Honourable Minister Lebona Lephema.
 
The Border Law Enforcement Festive Plan was implemented on 07 December 2022 to fast track the orderly processing of travellers and trucks through the border in this busy festive season and, where necessary, to speedily resolve challenges that may arise.
 
This is the first festive season in three years that has limited Covid-19 restrictions.
