The Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) will be presented to Parliament on Wednesday, 23 October 2013.
Journalists, who are not part of the lock-up that precedes delivery of the MTBPS to Parliament and wish to cover the MTBPS to Parliament or wish to broadcast from the Parliamentary precinct are required to send their details:

Details required are: Full name, ID/passport number, name of media organisation, designation (writer, photographer, for example), telephone number, and cell phone number.Media wishing to broadcast from the Parliamentary precinct should also provide: Make of vehicle(s), registration number(s), number(s) of vehicles, other equipment and time of arrival.

Documentation related to the MTPBS will be available on the National Treasury website (www.treasury.gov.za) when the Minister starts his address to Parliament, at around 14h00. The MTBPS will be broadcast live on Parliament’s DSTV Channel 408 and will also be streamed live on the ParliamentofRSA YouTube account.
