Zikalala to deliver budget of empowerment for the marginalised
The economy of KwaZulu-Natal must be configured in such a way that it empowers the previously marginalised, being Black Africans, the youth and women.
That was the forthright message from the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Mr Sihle Zikalala, ahead of his budget speech.
Zikalala, who will deliver his budget speech on Tuesday, 15 May, will expand on pertinent issues including the province’s radical economic transformation programme, Operation Vula and plans to decisively deal with disruptions to infrastructure projects that periodically occur in the province.
