The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, MPL, is going to commemorate World Aids Day with the community of Abaqulusi District in the area called Tholakele near Vryheid on the 28 th of November 2014. World AIDS Day is normally commemorated on the 1st of December, but due to MECs other commitments on the day, the MEC as the Political Champion of the Zululand District, is going to commemorate the day on Friday.
The MEC is going to be accompanied by the HOD Champion, who is the HOD of the Department of Health, Dr Sibongile Zungu and the Mayor of Abaqulusi, Cllr Hlatshwayo.
The MEC and the Mayor are going to visit families that have people who are infected and those affected by HIV/AIDS around the area of Tholakele, before going to the main event.
