In an effort to ensure delivery of quality healthcare in the province, Gauteng MEC for Health, Mr Hope Papo, will tomorrow morning meet with managers as well as tour different sections of the of Tara Psychiatric Hospital in Hurlingham, Sandton.
This is the first visit to psychiatric hospital. It will be followed by Sterkfontein hospital, Weskoppies and Cullinan hospitals.
This exercise is to ensure that proper and adequate treatment is provided to patients in all Gauteng public health facilities.
In addition to hospital managers, this engagement will also include hospital board members and representatives from labour organisations.
Community leaders from the municipality will also get a platform to share the concerns of the people in various wards and also their suggestions to improve healthcare in the region.
