MEC Desbo Mohono leads women in mass prayer, 23 Aug

Mme Desbo Mohono’s constituency to honour women of the present and the past.

In a quest to continue elevating women’s emancipation and ensuring that the legacy of both Tata Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu remains relevant to today’s era of democracy.

In the Spirit of Thuma Mina, The Member of Executive Council responsible for the Portfolio of Tourism in the North West Province, MEC Desbo Mohono will on Thursday, 23 August 2018 at the Madiba Banquet Hall in Potchefstroom lead women from her constituency in a mass prayer.

Mohono said that there is a need for women to focus more and collaborate. She said that there is a need to mobilise more resources, use the resources we have more effectively and efficiently, eliminate all forms of wastage and glory seeking. “Our women ready to lead from the front and intensify all inculcated gender struggle issues within the volatile and capricious field of our unions and the society in its entirety,” said Mohono

MEC Desbo Mohono together with the team in the constituency will also on Saturday, 25 August 2018 lead the procession of unveiling of five (5) tombstones of female stalwarts who contributed in different ways in the community. The unveiling will be held at Ga Matlabe Hall in Queenstown, Ikageng near Potchestroom. These tombstones were donated by different people across the Province and the Country.
