The KZN MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé, in partnership with Mpofana Municipality Mayor, Cllr Ntombi Mpangase, will on Tuesday, 23 July 2013, launch the Provincial Treasury’s July Saving Month Campaign.
Speaking before the launch MEC Cronjé said that “As a nation, South Africans do not have a culture of saving and it’s important to understand the need to save for consumers and the country as a whole. Through this initiative Treasury will teach local communities about prudent ways to manage personal finances. This campaign will be rolled out to other districts of the province to ensure that our people spend their money wisely”.
All media houses are invited to the breakfast meeting and the public event afterwards where MEC Cronjé will also emphasise the importance of saving, budgeting and proper financial planning.
