As part of his on-going raising of awareness about hygiene on public transport, Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Bonginkosi Madikizela will tomorrow, Thursday 9 April 2020, distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the taxi industry in Mitchells Plain from the allocation made to various provinces by the National Department of Transport.
This is in support of a call by the National Minister or Transport, Fikile Mbalula who pleaded with the transport sector work together with government and sanitise taxis and taxi ranks to fight the spread of the Coronavirus.
Minister Madikizela will be joined by SANTACO during the official handover of the PPE. Invitation extended to SA Taxi.
