MEC Albert Fritz launches Milnerton local Victim Empowerment Programme Forum, 24 Aug

Minister to launch Milnerton VEP Forum to fight human trafficking and Gender-Based Violence

Friday, 24 August 2018, as part of ongoing Women’s Month commemorations and in line with our ongoing fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and human trafficking, Minister Albert Fritz will launch the Milnerton Local VEP Forum.

The Forum is an important coordinating tool which pools the resources of different spheres of government, the NGO sector, community-based initiatives and experts to tackle local incidents of GB and human trafficking.

This Local VEP Forum will effectively contribute to strengthen a well-coordinated multi-sector response to victim services in the area; ensuring that victims’ rights are honored, as well as adherence to the minimum norms and standards regulating the VEP sector.

Please indicate your attendance ahead of time.

There will be an opportunity for interviews and photos.

Date: 24 August 2018
Time: 10:00
