Western Cape MEC of Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde and Deloitte launch Western Cape Funding Fair call for applications
Entrepreneurs and start-up companies are set for a major boost. Tomorrow (Thursday 27 November), Western Cape Minister of Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde, in partnership with Deloitte, will officially launch the call for applications for the Western Cape Funding Fair.
Applications opened this week and close on 31 January 2015.
At the fair, which will take place on 18 March 2015, entrepreneurs who have applied will be given a chance to pitch their business ideas to funders and investors. There are only two criteria: the business or project must be based in the Western Cape, and must require a minimum of R10 million in funding.
A similar fair held in KZN resulted in committed funding to entrepreneurs of R344 million.
