Minister Winde to launch report on the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Agriculture
The Western Cape Department of Agriculture recently commissioned an evaluation of the “The Future of the Western Cape Agricultural Sector in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
The purpose of this evaluation, conducted by the University of Stellenbosch Business School, was to investigate the trends underpinning the fundamental change expected to disrupt economic, social and politic systems at various levels of society and to evaluate the impact of the change.
The report will be released at an event on Friday where Minister Winde will give the keynote address.
The programme will also include an exhibition of the latest agricultural technology by the department, as well as external organisations.
