MEC Alan Winde addresses learners at Youth Month career exhibition, 25 Jun

As part of Youth Month, Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, will address high school learners at a career awareness exhibition, hosted at Boschendal in Franschhoek.

The two-day exhibition starts tomorrow (24 June 2015) and will showcase innovative career choices in the agricultural sector.

Learners will receive information and guidance on potential career paths.

Minister Winde is set to address learners on Thursday, 25 June 2015.

The initiative is a partnership between the provincial Department of Agriculture and Boschendal.

The provincial Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Elsenburg College, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and Stellenbosch University will also be exhibiting.

High school learners from Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch will attend the two-day exhibition.

Youth development is a key priority for the Western Cape Government and in this financial year, the province’s economics cluster will invest over R100 million into skills initiatives for young people.
