The Western Cape Government Minister for Human Settlements, along with several Western Cape municipal Mayors, will be meeting some of the recent beneficiaries of the Departments Social Housing program as part of a briefing tour to showcase the program. Included in the beneficiaries will be some senior citizens, and some families.
The tour will begin with breakfast, a media briefing and some presentations about Social Housing, as well as a keynote address by Minister Madikizela. Thereafter, the tour, which will also include Human Settlements Mayco Members and other high ranking officials, will travel to the Steenberg, Bothasig and Drommedaris Projects, to get a first-hand view of Social Housing service delivery, and to interact with beneficiaries.
Journalists wishing to have a more in-depth understanding of the departments strategic approach regarding Social Housing, along with an informed grasp of the realities, challenges and successes of delivery, as well as having access to political principals and interviews with Social Housing beneficiaries, are invited.
