Limpopo hosts Premier’s Service Excellence Awards, 30 Nov

Limpopo Provincial Government to award Excellence

The Limpopo Provincial Government led by Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will once again reward public servants who go beyond the call of duty to advance service delivery excellence. The Premier’s Service Excellence Awards are designed to encourage and inspire public servants to improve the quality of services they provide.

The awards are open to all government departments with the exception of the Office of the Premier who are the custodians. The winners will be forwarded to compete at national Batho Pele Awards.

The hosting of Premier’s Service Excellence Awards follows Batho Pele Day which was held over the weekend where the provincial government shared their commitment of exemplary service delivery. Batho Pele is a Sotho word meaning "People First": this implies that public servants should put communities at the centre when rendering services. Batho Pele is a government initiative that aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of government services by improving efficiency and accountability to the recipients of public goods and services.
