Limpopo Provincial Government celebrate Mandela Day

Limpopo Provincial Government will join multitudes of people around the globe in celebrating Mandela Day. The 18th July which marks the birthday of the iconic former President of South Africa Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, was officially declared Mandela Day by United Nations in November 2009.

Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha together with MEC for Department of Social Development, Nkakareng Rakgoale, Vhembe District Mayor, Cllr Nenguda Dowelani and Makhado Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr Samuel Monyai will dedicate their 67 minutes at Harold Rudzani Primary School, painting, cleaning the premises, gardening and planting trees. Nelson Mandela spent 67 years fighting for better world for all human beings irrespective of race, colour, gender or creed.

The legendary Madiba once said: “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
