The Minister of the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Lulu Xingwana will officially launch Women’s month in a symbolic event to commemorate the centenary-100 year March of 1913 and to highlight our ability to come together and heal our nation.
The Minister will lead the 2km human chain of 2 000 women on Reconciliation Road linking the two historic monuments, Freedom Park and Voortrekker Monument.
The theme for Women’s month is “A Centenary of Working Together towards Sustainable Women Empowerment and Gender Equality”.
