KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu will for the first time since he delivered the State of the Province Address meet with Heads of Departments, Chief Financial Officers and senior officials of various government departments and public entities. This two-day conference will start at 09h00 at Sibaya Casino, Durban.

“We have invited the Minister of Public Service and Administration Collins Chabane to be part of this conference. Amongst the issues that are on top of the agenda include public finance management, supply chain management, good governance and plans aimed at nurturing ethical senior leadership in the public service.”
“Senior management in the public service must ensure that state resources are used to alleviate the sufferings of our people. The conference will focus on how to strengthened service delivery. We view maladministration and corruption in government as having a potential of undermining service delivery and may cause our democracy to flounder.”

We signed a social contract with the people of this country and therefore any misconduct, ill-discipline and the lack of integrity in the public service amounts to the breach of this social contract.”
