The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on the Revitalisation of Distressed Mining Communities led by Minister in The Presidency for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Collins Chabane will visit various areas in Rustenburg.
The IMC will be visiting the area to monitor progress on implementation of commitments regarding the Presidential Package. In October 2012, President Jacob Zuma announced a Special Presidential Package designed to improve the living conditions in and around mining communities.
The Ministers will visit various areas including Mogwase, Bokamoso and Boitekong.
The Minister will hold a media briefing on conclusion of the visit.
