SAHRC Commissioners Sibanyoni and Ameermia conducts Provincial visit in Limpopo Province
The SAHRC National Commissioners Sibanyoni and Ameermia will visit the Limpopo Province from the 10th to 14th of February 2020 to address human rights challenges including issues relating to the right to water, sanitation, environment, housing and land.
The Commissioners endeavor to visit areas including Mookgopong, Giyani, Sekhukhune Vhembe and Polokwane, and have secured meetings with several stakeholders to address complaints and potential human rights violations within the Province.
The visit further aims to strengthen cooperation between the SAHRC with various stakeholders (Provincial Government Departments, Organs of State, and Non-Governmental Organisations) involved in the realisation of socio-economic rights within the province.
