The Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation is embarking on a series of Netball Indabas in all the Gauteng regions to resolve and resuscitate the sport and give opportunity for the participation of women (in sport).
The Indabas will be held in three different regions this coming weekend on Saturday, 9 November: at UJ Hockey Astro Turf Melville, Ivory Park Stadium in Tembisa and Imbizo Hall in Randfontein.
Delegates including those from Netball South Africa, regional netball federations and government will discuss amongst others the decline of netball, lack of netball structures and lack of confidence in netball administrators.
The events are hosted by the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture & Recreation, in partnership with the Netball School Sport, Tertiary Institutions and Netball South Africa.
