In continuing the celebration of the Eye Care Awareness Month, Gauteng Department of Health will tomorrow, 9 October 2013, host Eye Care Awareness campaign at Pretoria West Hospital in Tshwane.
This year’s activities coincide with the celebration of the World Sight Day on 10th of October 2013 under the theme “Universal Eye Health-Get your eyes tested.” The activities are aimed at raising awareness about the importance of eye health and eye care.
On the day, the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Gwen Ramokgopa will join Gauteng Department of Health in witnessing the sight restoration through cataract surgery at the Pretoria West Hospital’s theatre.
Members of the media are invited to join the Department and Deputy Minister on this special occasion.
