Gauteng aims to draw the youth of Tshwane to dance and music ahead of carnival

Hatfield square will host the Gauteng Carnival DJ competition which seeks to unearth underground DJs around Gauteng. The event is part of a build up to the 2013 Gauteng Carnival in December.

Aspiring DJs will participate in the elimination round of the battle of the DJs. Up for grabs is an opportunity to exhibit their skill at the carnival and a grand prize of R50 000 that will go to the number one mixing maestro.

Selected contestants will take part in an elimination round of DJ battles around popular venues in all regions of the province with the final show scheduled for Soweto on 30 November, a week before the 2013 Gauteng Carnival.
