World Sight Day
The Free State Department of Health will be commemorating World Sight Day on the 9 October 2014 as part of World Health Organisation mandate. All Eye Care centres theaters globally will be conducting cataract surgery.
Cataract is the lens opacity that is hard enough to obscures vision. Currently, in Lejweleputswa District there are 190 patients awaiting cataract surgery.
