DESTEA refurbishes industrial parks to attract investors

In efforts to attract more investment for economic growth and job creation through stimulating manufacturing sector, fostering technological learning, and innovation, the Free State Provincial Government will launch the refurbishment programme for state owned factories around the Province, on 12 March 2024 in Botshabelo, Mangaung Metro.

The said initiative showcase the Free State Government’s commitments made during the investment conference held eight days ago, that the giant is awaken and would act with speed in creating conducive environment for investors, generate comparative and competitive advantages; attract innovative businesses and provide operating space for SMMEs at the industrial parks.

“Industrial Parks and Special Economic Zones are dedicated areas contributing to economic development; are growth engines towards government’s strategic objectives of industrialization and employment creation. Both areas, can offer the opportunity to decrease production costs through common infrastructure and systems, while leading to the potential of increasing the production capacity”, said MEC Meeko.

The launch will include the site visit to the actual factory.
