Gauteng Finance MEC Mr Mandla Nkomfe, will present the 2012 Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) and the Adjustment Budget Policy Statement to the Provincial Legislature on Friday, 23 November 2012.
The MTBPS is an important step in the budget process. It sets out government’s fiscal stance for the next three years, taking into consideration how much financial resources are available and demonstrates how they will be used to fund priorities aimed at improving service delivery to the people of Gauteng.
The Adjustment Budget is tabled to provide for, amongst other things, the appropriation of funds that have become available to the province and unforeseeable and unavoidable expenditure recommended by the provincial government.
