Expanding the scope of Financial Literacy to traditional leaders

The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronje, who also champions the KwaZulu-Natal Financial Literacy Association (KZNFLA) and partners, will break new grounds in Nongoma, when officially launching Traditional Leaders Focus Group in a bid to expand the scope of financial education to Amakhosi (traditional leaders).

This initiative which received King Goodwill Zwelithini’s full support is a result of the Cabinet resolution that was passed recently, where it was resolved that the operations of the KZNFLA should extend its footnote to all Traditional Councils throughout the province and to establish financial cooperatives for traditional councils.
