Employment and Labour hosts community outreach campaign, 24 to 28 Feb

Compensation fund embarking on a service delivery drive

Under the auspices of the National Department of Employment and Labour, the Compensation Fund will be spearheading a community outreach campaign from the 24th to the 28th of February 2020 in the following towns; Marquard, Ficksburg, Senekal and Ladybrand. The campaign is hosted in conjunction with other branches of the Department such as the Inspection and Enforcement Services, Public Employment Services, as well as the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF).

This is one of many pro-active mechanisms the Department of Employment and Labour has adopted to try and speed up service delivery and ensure the livelihoods of our clients are maintained at all material times. This campaign is envisaged to be a comprehensive one-stop shop for all services of the Department of Employment and Labour.

Clients looking for Compensation Fund related services and those looking for UIF related services are urged to bring along their relevant documentation.  “We will be providing end-to-end service instantly.  We are therefore bringing along a highly-skilled contingent of officials which is constituted by decision makers within the Department.

“As a result, clients will be moving from one table to the next in accordance with our service delivery value chain, and by the time they leave, the entire application process would have been concluded,” said Emily Maneli – Head of the Department of Employment and Labour in the Free State province.

Other government departments and state agencies such as the CCMA, Road Accident Fund, Rand Mutual Assurance, Federated Mutual Associations, Post Office, Department of Home Affairs, Health, SAPS, SASSA and SARS have also been invited to render their services.
