The Eastern Cape Department of Education will tomorrow the 27 of November 2014 host the 15th National Teaching Awards Provincial ceremony, in recognition of those teachers who have excelled in their various fields at the Osner Hotel in East London at 18h00 in the evening.
The ceremony will see 10 educators who have surpassed in 10 categories of excellence in the National Teaching Awards programme, in 2014 being awarded for their exceptional work.
The contestants will be from the following categories:
- Excellence in Primary School Teaching
- Excellence in Secondary School Teaching
- Excellence in Primary School Leadership
- Excellence in Secondary School Leadership
- Excellence in Grade R Teaching
- Excellence in Special Needs and Inclusive Teaching
- Excellence in Technology Enhanced Teaching and Learning
- Excellence in teaching Mathematics (FET)
- Excellence in teaching Physical Science (FET) and
- Lifetime Achievement Award
