In an effort to bridge the information gap on employment opportunities available for youth in the Bokone Bophirima Province, a Youth Development EXPO will be held on Sunday, 16 November 2014 at Itsoseng Township Stadium near Lichtenburg.
Led by the Deputy President Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, this public engagement platform will assume the format of an information expo, which will see youth in the Province engaging directly with various private sector companies and other prominent role players in and around South Africa on their offerings.
Viewed as part of the Deputy President’s response to challenges confronting young people in South Africa, this Youth Development EXPO will be attended by agencies such as Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), all Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), Job Fund, companies like Microsoft, Google SA, Anglo American, Chamber of Mines and others, which will provide information that will assist in promoting self employment among the youth.
As part of the first phase of this engagement, the EXPO targets young unemployed people from around Ngaka Modiri Molema District, and will later be taken to other Districts in the Province.
Premier Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo and Members of the Executive Council will also attend the Youth Development EXPO.
